  1. Terms of Sale
    • All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. Dispatch times may vary according to availability and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible.
    • When placing an order, you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorized user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of goods.
    • All prices advertised and quoted are subject to changes.
    • When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your order. This email will only be an acknowledgment and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by email that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you. Only those goods listed in the confirmation email sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.
  1. Pricing and Availability
    • Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions, prices which appear on this website to be true and accurate, errors may occur.
    • If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it.
    • If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund within 30days.
    • Delivery costs will be charged in addition to your purchase and such additional cost are clearly displayed where applicable and included in the ‘Total Cost’.
  1. Payment
    • We accept major credit cards and electronic transfers for domestic & international payments. If you are paying via electronic transfer, please contact us to obtain our banking details and send us proof of payment within 3 days of payment.
    • Upon receiving your order, we carry out a standard authorization check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction and your order will only be processed once the funds have reflected in our account.
    • Your card will be debited upon authorization being received and your order been placed.
    • If we are not able to fulfil your order for any reason, your credit card will be refunded at no additional charges if the order is cancelled prior to shipping.

4. Shipping

    • freeRange JEWELS prefers that jewellery is collected and/or returned in person at our store in Cape Town but if you are unable to do so, shipping charges apply to all local and international purchases.
    • The price will be quoted based on value, weight, destination of the parcel and location availability by the specific carrier.
    • All parcels will be subject to custom checks, not all locations have shipping available.
    • Shipping costs will be issued on the same tax invoice as the item purchased.
    • If your order’s value is more than R2, 000.00 there will be no shipping charges to any local destination in South Africa
    • Shipping costs are non-refundable.
    • All in stock items are shipped within 48 hours from receipt of payment (and clearance of funds into freeRange JEWELS account) Monday to Friday 09h00 to 16h00 excluding Public Holidays.
    • Local deliveries can be expected within 3-5 days, international deliveries within 20 days (unless otherwise advised).
    • If a tracking number is provided by the shipping carrier, we will contact you with the tracking information.
    • If an item goes on back order we will ship part of your order that is in stock and when the item becomes available, we will ship the balance of your order and there will be no additional shipping and handling charges applicable for the second shipment.
    • Please note that you are advised to insure all and any jewellery which may be lost or damaged during shipment.
  1. Returns and Refunds
    • General
      • Our Returns and Refunds policy is only applicable to :-

(a) defective goods

(b) direct on-line purchases effected where you have not examined the jewellery and delivery thereof is rejected because the jewellery is not of the type and quality based on the description presented to you; and/or

(c) In respect of all other purchases, in store and/or bespoke, you will only be entitled to a refund if the jewellery is defective.

    • In all other instances, in which you are not happy with your purchase, despite having examined the jewellery at the time of purchase you will be entitled to exchange the item in terms of the exchange provisions referred to hereunder.
    • Standard returns policy
      • freeRange JEWELS takes the utmost care to package our shipments and to ensure that our jewellery is in the best condition possible.
      • Once you receive your package, please notify us immediately if there is a problem regarding the condition of the piece of jewellery.
      • If the parcel and/or its contents has been tampered with and is damaged, and you do not call us immediately, we will assume that, upon return of the item that the damage was caused by you.
      • If you notify us immediately of the damaged item / packaging, the standard return procedure will be in terms of the refund
      • freeRange JEWELS must be notified (via email or telephone) within 3 days after receipt of your intention to return the item of jewellery.
      • The item you want to return must be in its original packaging and unworn condition to be eligible for return and a refund.
      • Within 2 days after you have notified us, we will send you a return label with instructions. Please use this label and ship the items back to us within a further 2 days.
      • Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return,
      • The original purchase price, less (a) the original shipping and handling fee and (b) 10% restocking fee, will be refunded to you within 24 hours of receipt of the item in its original condition and packaging.
      • We do not accept returns of SALE items.
    • Exchanges
      • You may exchange your item for a different item of the same value or pay in the balance if you wish to exchange the item of a different item.
      • freeRange JEWELS must be notified (via email or telephone) within 3 days after receipt of your intention to exchange the item of jewellery.
      • You will not be subject to a restocking fee in this case but will still have to pay the return & further delivery shipping fee.
    • Refunds
      • You will be entitled to a refund:

(a) if the goods were defective; and/or

(b) where your purchase was made directly online where you have not examined the jewellery and delivery thereof is rejected because the jewellery does are not of the type and quality based on the description presented to you; and/or

(c) In respect of all other purchases, in store and/or bespoke, you will only be entitled to a refund if the jewellery is defective.

      • We will send you a notification when we have received your returned item along with your proof of payment.
      • We will inspect the returned product and inform you if your return has been approved or rejected (based on the conditions of the return).
      • If we approve your return, we will process your refund within 3 days of the return using the original method of payment that we received which can take a few days to reflect. We will however send you confirmation of payment.
      • If you have not yet received your refund, please contact us within 24 hours of the expected date of refund.
      • No refunds apply on SALE items.
  1. Purchase Warranty
    • freeRange JEWELS will, in its option, repair and/or replace any freeRange Jewellery (in store, bespoke, or commissioned) which is proven by our jewellers to be defective due to manufacturing.
    • The aforesaid warranty against manufacturing defects shall be valid for a period of six months with effect from the date of purchase and/or delivery.
    • The warranty against defects referred to in 6.1 and 6.2 above does not cover damage, breakage, changes in appearance, gradual degradation of any part due to normal wear, mishap, careless and/or improper use and/or handling and/or maintenance and/or any work effected by a third party other than free range to the jewellery during the warranty period.
    • We advise that you have your jewellery serviced once a year by a reputable jeweller.


freeRange Jewels shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from:

1. Payment Options Accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the freeRange Jewels bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

2. Card Acquiring and Security

Card transactions will be acquired for freeRange Jewels via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to to view their security certificate and security policy.

3. Customer Details Separate From Card Details

Customer details will be stored by freeRange Jewels separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to
